With food production contributing over 25% of global greenhouse gas emissions, the need to examine its far-reaching impacts has never been more urgent. Documentary series Food for Thought (2x50') invites viewers on a compelling journey, led by photographer Kadir van Lohuizen, to uncover the often unseen world of food production.

From slaughterhouses to seed farms, mega-ships transporting soy to onions destined for far-off markets, this series explores the complexities of how our food is produced and moved around the globe. What are the hidden environmental and economic costs of feeding the world? And how do these processes affect our planet’s future?

Discover the answers in Food for Thought.
